Bridges
When your teeth are missing, it greatly affects your smile. At the same time, the missing tooth has the potential to negatively affect your oral hygiene because of unprotected gum exposure. Dental bridges are one of many options aimed at improving the appearance and function of your teeth by replacing the missing tooth or teeth. During your exam, we will discuss whether or not dental bridges are right for you.

Implant-Supported Dentures
Implant-supported dentures are a great option for patients who are missing teeth but still have good, healthy bone structure. These specific dentures are a permanent way to replace your missing teeth with a solution that provides the same look and functionality as your original teeth. Unlike regular dentures that are slippery and unstable, implant-supported dentures use dental implants that are embedded in the bone and give you a more natural feel with full bone support and strength. These dentures are also an excellent choice for a multi-tooth replacement since the dental implant ‘anchors’ will better support the dentures.
After recovering from this initial operation, the implants will be placed directly in the bone in the most optimal spots to support the dentures. As this is intended to fully replace your teeth, a metal bar may be constructed to connect the implants and serve as a structural hold for the dentures.
Here at Oceanview Family Dentistry, we want you to feel confident in your smile, which is why each denture is crafted specifically for you to have the perfect fit and feel for your mouth. With proper care, light brushing, and flossing just like real teeth, your implant-supported dentures are a permanent and life-long solution to replace your teeth and improve your dental hygiene.
