Benjamin McEvoy, DDS
Dr. Benjamin Joseph McEvoy has practiced dentistry and lived in North County San Diego for over ten years. He also practiced over 10 years in Colorado. He completed his undergraduate studies in Utah, and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia. Personal interest and patient demand have led Dr. McEvoy to further his education with advanced courses in oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign® clear aligners, dental implants and root canal therapy. This additional training and passion allows Dr. McEvoy to keep many referred treatment needs in house. Dr. McEvoy believes continuing education is a big key to maximizing satisfaction in his profession.
Dr. McEvoy is devoted to upholding trust and high ethical standards, a long standing tradition at Oceanview Family Dentistry. His goal is to ensure that his patients always feel they have a reliable dentist who genuinely acts in their best interest.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. McEvoy is a dedicated family man, and is married with four children. He enjoys an active lifestyle that includes surfing, snowboarding, service and traveling with his family.

Britney
Office Manager
Britney joined the practice on March 6, 2023, bringing with her nearly two decades of experience in the dental and medical fields. Her education began at a local vocational school where she excelled in dental assisting, graduating at the top of her class. This foundation was only the beginning, as Britney further honed her skills in surgical assisting. However, her true passion and expertise lie in the intricacies of insurance and billing, a field where she has become an insurance specialist. Her dedication to staying abreast of the constant changes within insurance ensures that she can navigate the complexities of the system to meet the specific needs and coverages of the practice’s patients. Britney deeply appreciates the warm, caring atmosphere cultivated by Dr. McEvoy and the entire team, describing it as an office “family.” Her efforts in patient communication, billing, scheduling and bringing innovative ideas to the table significantly contribute to the practice’s success.
She lives in north county with her husband and their beloved fur baby, Bailey, and enjoys a close-knit family life often celebrated with frequent barbeques. Britney’s hobbies include cooking, baking, crafting, hiking and DIY projects.
Kim
Assistant Office Manager | Office Administrator
Kim has been with us since September of 2021. She gained a Bachelor of Behavioral Science from Utah Valley University in 2002, and has prior experience working in her father’s practice and the Utah Neurological Clinic during her undergraduate years. This immersion in the medical field has shaped her passion for healthcare administration. A dedicated problem solver, Kim’s role extends beyond administrative duties, and Kim adeptly handles tasks behind the scenes, ensuring seamless operations even during challenging situations. She finds joy in the diversity of people she meets daily, considering it one of the highlights of her work experience.
Kim shares her life with Dr. Ben, with whom she has four children, along with their beloved golden retriever, Mango, and a flock of chickens. Outside of work, she indulges in running, hiking and budget-friendly travel adventures. She also loves dogs, so feel free to show her your cute fur baby!

Bonnie
Registered Dental Hygienist
Bonnie, became part of the team in May 2022, marking a reunion with Dr. McEvoy with whom she had previously worked approximately 14 years prior. Her journey into dental health care began at Concorde Career College in San Diego, California, in 1993, where she earned her dental assisting certificate. Bonnie’s commitment to the field saw her working in a private practice for over a decade, gaining experience not only as a dental assistant but also cross-training as a front office administrator. Her ambition and dedication to advancing her career led her to San Joaquin Valley College in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, where she obtained an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2005. By 2007, Bonnie had become a Registered Dental Hygienist, embarking on a career in private practice that continues to this day. At Oceanview Family Dentistry, Bonnie is valued not just for her professional skills but also for her team spirit, kindness and empathy towards both her colleagues and patients. She finds great satisfaction in being part of a team that shares a common philosophy on patient care and treatment, under the leadership of Dr. McEvoy, whom she respects greatly.
Outside of her professional life, Bonnie enjoys a fulfilling family life, having been married for 30 years to an incredibly energetic and supportive husband, with whom she shares twin 14-year-olds. Her passion is horses and horseback riding, and together, her family relishes camping, fishing, hiking, kayaking and riding quads in the desert.
Kelly
Registered Dental Hygienist
Kelly joined the team on April 16, 2023, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a deep-seated passion for dental health. Her academic journey in the field began at Loma Linda University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1989. Since starting her career in dentistry at the tender age of 17, Kelly has remained dedicated to her profession, constantly fueled by the joy of making a positive impact on her patients’ oral health. Her approach is deeply rooted in education and empowerment; she believes in the power of understanding the “why” behind oral health practices, which she has found significantly motivates her patients to adopt healthier habits for the betterment of their dental well-being.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kelly is known for her warm and engaging personality, both with her colleagues and patients. The friendly and supportive atmosphere of her workplace resonates deeply with her, enhancing her daily experience and fostering a strong sense of team unity. On a personal note, Kelly hails from Leucadia, a place she holds dear to her heart, indicating her strong connection to her roots. She and her husband, both of whom have adult sons and five grandchildren, cherish their family time. When not engaged in the lively pursuit of keeping up with their grandchildren, they enjoy soaking up the serene beauty of North County beaches, celebrating their love for the area and each other in the tranquility of their beloved coastal surroundings.
Cindy
Registered Dental Assistant
Cindy has been a valued member of her dental practice since May 2014. Her journey into dental assisting began in the 1970s when she attended a vocational school that laid the foundation for a career centered around community service and healthcare. Cindy’s professional ethos is deeply rooted in her desire to serve people from all walks of life, with a special emphasis on supporting anxious or fearful patients. Her approach to patient care is not just about dental health; it is about comfort, education and the overall well-being of those she helps. By educating patients on oral health in a way that alleviates their fears, Cindy plays a crucial role in ensuring that visits to the dentist are more comfortable and less daunting experiences.
Outside of her professional life, Cindy places a high value on family, celebrating over 30 years of marriage with her husband, Ric. Together, they have built a loving family that includes a son, a daughter, seven grandchildren and one great-grandson, with the promise of more to come. Cindy’s life outside the office is filled with activities that enrich her spirit and connect her to her community. She enjoys working on word search puzzles, reading and exploring the art of calligraphy. Active participation in her church and its ladies’ group provides her with a sense of belonging and fulfillment. Above all, being a grandmother is Cindy’s greatest joy!
